Protein Overnight Oats

If you know me you already know I’m a huge oats fan for breakfast. I crave my oats during the end of my morning workouts and can’t wait to refuel. For me personally it’s important that I hit an adequate amount of fats, carbs, and protein in each of my meals and it ranges on what I’m craving.

My post workout must is to have a good source of carbs carbs and protein as I find this is what works best for me to refuel after a workout. With my love for oats I have shared my egg oat bowl which you can read about here.

Today i'm sharing my overnight protein oats. Overnight oats are super easy to make and are great for in the go. For this batch of overnight protein oats I used:

1/2 cup of almond milk

1/2 cup of gluten free rolled oats

1 scoop of IdealFit protein powder in checkout brownie

1/2 banana

1/4 cup of blueberries

To make these overnight protein oats I let the oats and almond milk soak over night in the refrigerator. In the morning before my workout I added the protein powder. You can add all or some of the ingredients overnight, I just chose to make mine this way because I had plenty of time and wasn't taking my oats to go.

After the oats were in the fridge I chose to heat them up in the microwave for a minute and then added a half of banana and 1 fourth cup of blueberries for my toppings.

These overnight protein oats were simply chocolate delicious oats! Overnight oats are perfect for on the go and travel.
